Dogzine's TopDog Award

Every year, thousands of dogs compete at dozens of CACIB shows throughout the Benelux for the honor and title. But whoever does best over the year is unknown. That is why from 1 January of this year DogZine starts - with an idea from Dogs Revelation in France - with the TopDog Classification, the classification with which at the end of the year the highest scoring dogs TopDog 2018 and TopVeteraan 2018 can be from the Benelux.

All dogs, from any country, participate. Each CACIB show held between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018 in the Benelux also. All dogs that become Best of Breed (BOB) or Best veteran of the breed are awarded points. Extra points are there for the group winner, the runner-up and the third placed dog in the class intermediary / open / champion, and the best veteran of the day or show.

All points are added during the year, and the standings can be found on this website. And when the champagne bottles pop on 1 January 2019, the TopDog 2018 is also known. During a festive award ceremony all dogs are honored, also the TopDogs of their group (FCI 1 to 10) and the TopVeteraan.

With the Topdog-classification the preferences of individual judges disappear, because the result counts for all CACIB-shows.

The TopDog classification is compiled by Dogzine, and made possible by various sponsors.
